This is stolen from another site, but is good info. I have a family member placed very high in the Corps of Engineers, who does fish, who let me in on which cage to rattle about sealions predation in the local rivers.

The agency is now under NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), and is the National Marine Fisheries Service. These are the folks who can get the sealion removal ball rolling, they are THE agency for this problem.
My family member says he/she believes they are getting public pressure to resolve the issue, but I say lets make this wheel squeek. They have a local (Portland) office. I have worked in government and I know the people with the power start getting the message when the phones lines get jammed with concerned citizens. I will be calling in the AM to express my views on there lack of action. I encourage all concerned folks to call, be polite and express your desire to see this problem resolved. Please be polite, its just some poor person who answers the phone who dosent need your grief. dial 503-230-5400

Ask to speak with or leave a message with the person who is working on the sealion issue. They are doing something but lets help them along. I am planning to tell them about my experience having a steelhead i was reeling in eaten by a sealion last week.
The folks who have seen them eating oversize sturgeon give them the when and where also. Anyone with a similar experience please relate your story. Full voice mail WILL get the attention of the agencys big wigs and hopefully light a fire. We all know the problem and this is the agency who CAN do something. [

OK,

I called and got through to Tanya at the front desk, she put me through to Ben Meier, and I left a message.

Hope you guys/gals are following suit.

Reminded him that we'd hate to see what happened at Ballard Locks happen down here at Bonneville.

..........................................................................................................................................................UPDATE

Ben was nice enough to retun my call and has indicated that the person to talk to is a man named Garth Griffon
Garth is the Chief of the Protective resources division with the National Marine Fisheries Service.

His number is 503 231 2005
