Hey folks. It’s breaking my heart but we are gonna have to sell our 2017 22 Cruiser. Probably in early fall but maybe sooner if an offer appears.
Trying to figure out what to ask for it, maybe you kids can help.
Pretty standard new 22. Has a Wallas, VHF, right at 200 hours on a Honda 90. Just a small gps/fish finder. Was using a GPS Puck paired to an iPad.
A few minor things that should buff out from our docking learning curve.
Trailer is single axle, nothing of interest there.
Thoughts? Thanks in advance. |

And it’s a high top, which makes it significantly more desirable to a lot of kids. _________________ Wannabe |

I think the high top makes them more attractive, personally, not sure how much more value it will add. The newer year and low outboard hours add value. The single-axle trailer isn't as demanded as a double axle but not by a lot. Posting some pictures would help. What other options are there such as a double battery set up, swim platform, floor boards, any fishing equipment (ie downriggers, etc), radar? What color is it? Is there a lien that needs to be paid off if so how much is it? Where are you located? Just some things that come to mind. Im sure others may have questions. _________________ Capt Mac Daniel

Double battery system. Swim step. Some dri-dek in the back. No fishing stuff, no radar. Pretty much as we bought it fresh from the factory.
It has a lien that we could pay off or figure out with sale. The dealer we bought it from says they can consign it and move it quick. I spit out the number $55k and he thought that was reasonable. |

ChadMillers, It saddens me as well that your selling. I vividly remember you two at out first Friday Harbor CBGT and later at the dock on Sucia. Was on the lookout for Agostino all last summer expecting to see you again!
If your boat is still clean and new looking you should get top dollar, and since there is a huge backlog of orders for new boats, as well supply shortages, you need not price it too low. I heard that orders for a new boat placed today are looking at over a year before completion. I would start with a price of what you paid for it. _________________ Steve & Joanie

Hey Steve. That was such an amazing trip, met so many nice folks. And got to see orcas from the boat, which was a bucket list item for sure.
We’ll be at it again someday, but we are trying to sell everything and live out of a van for a couple of years and spend time with aging family while there are quality years left. |

She's a beauty! The high top adds something extra.
You shouldn't have any problem selling her. You should be able to offer a better deal to someone and net more than through a Dealer can even though in all fairness they do earn their commissions and do a good job. I'm not sure where you are located but Weflings comes to mind as a Dealer with an excellent reputation for selling C-Dorys.
Just write a good description, take more pictures and the Buyers will come! |

Chad, I'm sad to see this too. I know selling at any time is a tough decision, and though it is, it sounds like you two are making a good family decision. I agree, I would offer it up at close to new $$$, and for some, that high top is a definite plus [especially if they are not making them any more] -- which would be worth checing out before you price it.
Haven't been to Portland for a long time but I will still stop by when I get that way.
All the best,
Harvey
