We always enjoyed cruising Lake Powell with Roger Rockwell, username flrockytop. I also enjoyed his stories about crossing the U.S. on a 50 cc scooter, I think it was a Yamaha, but not sure. He had a very distinctive "bimini" on his C-Dory.
He lived in Pensacola. Anyone know what happened to him? (Dr. Bob?)
On edit - I should have searched first of course. I see Roger posted here as recently as January of this year!

I talk to Roger about once a month. We see each other every now and then. He and Mary Jo are doing well. He still does a lot of fishing in Pensacola Bay. He had a little aluminum Catamaran which was so so. He is looking for a "better" boat currently. Not sure if he will be back in a C Dory again.
He has an RV and has been doing a lot of traveling in it. Roger does check the C Brat web site regularly--maybe he will see this and comment.
Here is part of his blog-o-sphere: http://www.rogerrockwell.com
He has traveled most all of the Gulf Coast from Brownsville Texas to the Keys then up to Jacksonville in a C Dory.
I consider Roger a Prince of a Man! One of the nicest people you will ever meet. _________________ Bob Austin

wow that is the top I have drawn a thousand times but did not have the money to build. Good coverage and you can still fish. Love it _________________ Thomas J Elliott

I do not know Roger, but I agree with starcrafttom that that is the best bimini I have seen on a cdory _________________ Clay on Hammerhead

A friend of mine bought Roger's boat. The cantilever top was by "Blue Coral" in Pensacola. The person who bought the boat from Pensacola was in Calif. and he took that top off and had it for sale on the C brat site.
Yes it is a fantastic top. If we had kept Thataway, Marie wanted one. Sea Otter has an equal one on the 25.

Robert Meyers has the same top on his Cdory. Pics of it in his album - username "Brazo".
Nice for fishing or tending lines going through locks, etc.
