Going to Hontoon. Any one got the skinny on where you park your land rig, check in, where you launch your dory and Lat/Lon of marina . I have cabin reserved 8th & 9th. Don't be square/be their... _________________ Scott Fletcher |

You launch at Ed Stone county park. Park the rig on the grass between highway 44 and the rest of the parking lot.
Hontoon is about 3.5 miles up River (South). Lat:28*58.458 min. long:081* 21.488min.
Go to the thread on the gathering for all of the information. That way all communications stays on the same thread.
Do you have reservations for the boat slip also? (It appears that they will allow you to stay even without a reservations-but prefer reservation. Last year they absolutely refused to allow us to stay, even though boats which came in after the park closed were allowed to stay.). This was COVID 19 closure--and probably mass confusion int the state park system _________________ Bob Austin

NYS was the same last year. I was standing at the window of the marina and could see empty slips. But they said I couldn't have one without making a reservation first. Of course, reservations have to be made more than 24 hours in advance via Reserve America. |
