Post this as a new topic.
I have been going through the break in process on my new Honda motors and have a question. Compared to the Suzuki I replace the steering on the new BF90 is very stiff. Is this normal at first and/or is there an adjustment? Thanks. |

Disconnect the steering cylinder from the motor and see if it is still stiff. After that you should be able to move the motor by itself and see how that feels. _________________ Jody Kidd

If you have hyd. steering Honda & Suz. require different brackets for cylinder attachment. |

It should steer with ease. Something is not right and you need to figure it out as parts could break. I have lost steering before and it is not that much fun. |

is it stiff in both directions or just one? if just one you may need to adjust the rudder on the out board. Often over looked detail.
Also see if the shop greased the main hub (?) its a zerk fitting that greases the main shaft that the motor sits on. _________________ Thomas J Elliott
