Just to be clear on what happens this year at FH-CB GT

Masks will be required on the docks (per the county health department, according to the Port of Friday Harbor).

There will not be an organized group potluck, or organized restaurant gathering.
If folks want to get their own groups together, that is up to and on them.

We will have the small party barge, and folks are welcome to gather there if they choose. Again, up to individual choice.

Obviously for those who have been vaccinated, they will feel much less constrained, and according to the new WA guidelines, vaccinated folks do have less constraint in gatherings.

There will be plenty of opportunity to visit in areas where there can be appropriate spacing for those who want that.

I will have some construction paper pages, colored, that folks are welcome to use for kind of like traffic signals: If you want to put them up on your boat.
Green >> Open to any visitors (with boarding permission of course)
Yellow >> Open to visitors, with masks and with boarding permission of course
Red >> Not really into accepting visitors at this time.

You are welcome to any one or all three pages if you want. No pressure if you don’t want one that is OK too.

This will be a bit of a different year, but we are getting together. Maybe make some great plans for next year’s FH-CBGT.

Harvey

Oh boy! Exhausted this afternoon from a couple of days of getting re-acquainted with my Porter Cable dual action polisher, Buff Magic, and Pro Polish so we can be lookin' good at Friday Harbor! Got maybe another day or two to go. The new Suzuki 200 will still be in break-in mode, and I am still trying to figure out the digital gauges!

We are both vaccinated, and will be flying Harvey's yellow flag for visitors who are WEARING MASKS.

That's so cool Pat! My Suizuki 200 was in break-in mode when we were up there for Stuart Island a few years back. Wish we could make this one.

The gauge is real easy once you get it, but getting it can be a little confusing.

Wish you and Sofie could could visit with Baxter! He is pretty amazing for a 15 year old guy! Hope he is around for Friday Harbor next year but there are no guarantees!

Tim and Ryan at Sportcraft are sort of my new best friends! One thing I found out is that they did not wire the GPS into the Suzuki digital gauge, so I won't have speed or miles per gallon on my gauge unless I wire it in myself. I don't really need to, because I have speed on both the antique Raymarine MFD and the iPad, and MPG is fairly easy to calculate since we have distance on the Raymarine and fuel used on the Suzuki gauge. But maybe I will, maybe not.

I'll have plenty of "I've been vaccinated" stickers for anyone that wants them to identify themselves to others as vaccinated. Just come by the new Venture 23 "Pan-A-C'ya" and say hello and I'll have some for you.

We are sorry to say Salty and crew will not be attending this year's'"gathering" at FH. We will missing seeing and chatting with you all. We will be in the area from 5/19 -5/23 and have reserved a slip at Deer Harbor. If you're still in the area stop in and say hello and meet our newest crew. We're not the boat with 3 dogs anymore after losing 2 of our beloved dogs in the past 2 years. Looking forward to the gathering in 2022.

At the minimum you’ll need a nmea 2000 gps antenna that the antiques don’t have. Just need to break down and get a new MDF then you’ll have access to the motor data in that too. 😀

Oh man, I had been looking forward to this gathering so I can meet and learn from you ladies and gentlemen. Unfortunately, my brother died last month and I had to go on emergency leave. Now I'm back to work and have to work this weekend. You all have a great time and be safe.

I'm very sorry you brother passed away. That has got to be a tough one. I'm sure he'll be missed.
We'll miss you as well at the CBGT but only temporarily as you'll come next year?

Thank you very much. He was a young healthy 45 y/o.

Definitely will join next year. Hopefully I'll see some more Cbrats on the water this summer. I'll be fishing MA 11 majority of the times. Either my Eye C Fish or on my kayak.

We plan to pop over Saturday on the ferry this weekend and visit with the group. Looking forward to catching up with many of you even if we will be boat-less this time.

Work has me tied up until Sunday afternoon. Was wondering if anyone was heading over Sunday/Monday. That way I have someone to follow. Was out there last weekend, the whales were certainly a treat!

Daydream is as spiffed up as she is going to get, ran out of energy and time to do more. We rented our slip in Blaine Harbor this morning, planning to keep the boat there until mid-September. We are launching Daydream and putting her in her slip this afternoon, and some time tomorrow, we will go back over and head 'er out for Friday Harbor. It's been far too long!
