Considering selling my boat to purchase bigger cruiser. Has older gps (Humminbird), fish finder/depth sounder and JVC radar. VHF radio. Trim tabs. Kicker motor mount. I would say normal wear - some scuffs, and could use a good waxing and bottom cleaning. Bought the 90hp Suzuki new in 2018; 6 year warranty, new throttle and rigging. Has been a great boat (owned ~ten years) in the San Juan’s. Has rear Bimini cover, snap-on window covers, anchors, etc. Cushions in good shape. Not sure I’m selling but would appreciate ideas on value and welcome expressions of interest.

The very new motor adds considerable value to the boat. My first 22 (1993) was on its second motor when I bought it--and I discounted price when I sold because of its age. The next owner did fine, but the 3rd owner after I sold, had to replace the motor almost immediately...Are you going to get the $10,000 to $12,000 you paid for the new motor--unfortunately not.
Being an Angler, some prefer the cruiser--a dedicated fisherman will want the Angler. That may decrease the value to some degree.
How the boat was kept--inside or warm climate during the winter, will make the boat more valuable.
Of course the survey is extremely important. Also location: being in the PNW probably adds $2K to 3K.
I would consider pricing in the $30,000 To $35,000 range.

Thank you Bob. That’s kind of the range I figured. Kept inside during winter. Appreciate you taking the time to consider and opine!

Do you have a trailer? Single axle, tandem?

If you are thinking 30 or 35 thousand you need to put a trailer under it for that kind of money

I agree, I had assumed a trailer in the pricing I mentioned. At least a single axle trailer. New trailers are expensive, and seem to be back ordered in some areas. For long hauls a tandem axle trailer.

I am looking at 22' Anglers for maybe my final C-Dory. I owned a 2006 22' Angler for a short time 2013-14. I now regret selling it.
My thinking on this boat. A 24 year old hull that appears to be kept in the water for months at a time. Dated electronics that would most likely need to be replaced. No mention of a trailer included.
A newer motor, but no kicker.
$20,000 to $25,000 tops.

Local markets are a funny thing. Anglers are not loved that much up here. But a good 22 footer with recent repower with a trailer will go quickly for 30k. And if it is a cruiser, more like 40k. No trailer changes everything, especially here, since you will have to pay up the nose to get it shipped. Of course, when I throw out numbers, I'm talking nicely cared for boats with no issues. Puget Sound numbers are similar, but seem to be about 10% less generally from what I have seen.

Still lots of demand in WA and BC. I don’t personally put a lot of value in an old trailer, I would just line one up with Tuff or King Trailers for the buyer. I’d list it at 29... if I was in a hurry to sell or 33... if I wasn’t in a rush. Last 22 foot arima was newer and went for 50k. Not a great comparison but search for 19-23 foot boats with outboards on Craigslist. There is virtually nothing out there.....
