Fueled up and had to travel through highway construction

Is there something that will take the stain off without having to wax?

The whole boat needs compounding and waxing but...

Not Today

My first attempt would be with a Magic Eraser and water. I use those things quite a bit for surface stains, followed up with a shot of quick detailer spray wax to get the shine back. Most things come clean in seconds.

Just be careful with that Magic Eraser! It is kind of addicting. Fish blood, my blood from fish cleaning, green stain from algae, the ugly streaks from the shore power cord on the edges of the foredeck, and just about anything that discolors the gelcoat can be cleaned up with it. But it is mildly abrasive and takes a slight amount of the gelcoat (plus all the wax) with it.
