Follow up questions. We only have one cleat on the fore deck, what size of cleat would be adequate? Also, what size are the snubber lines?

End of the story, at least as of today!
Patty was not satisfied with her splice of 8 plait half inch rope to chain, she could not get a nice narrow taper. We just did not see that working well.
So, we now have 100 feet of 1/4" G4 chain in the locker. Came in through the windlass without a hitch. I will be using 15 feet of three plait dock line as the snubber, and will probably use a rolling hitch knot rather than a chain hook.
First trial will be Wednesday, August 19, the night before crabbing opens in Washington area 7 north. We will be anchored in Birch Bay Wednesday through Monday, pulling the anchor twice a day to set and check pots! _________________
