We took our dog Lola out on the Crabby Lou for the first time yesterday. Lola is scared of many, many things and this is surely one of them! But we will try again. Still, a day on the water is always a great day. Loving this boat!

Lola is such a sweet girl! Hope she settles down and is able to start enjoying her time on the boat! _________________

Maybe you are already doing this but keep her favorite toys with her and try to do the things she enjoys doing while on the boat. Give her treats when she shows positive confident behavior inside the boat and soon she will become accustomed to this new life. You may wish to practice this while at home when the boat is on the trailer. Make it fun for her!

Keep taking her, she'll get used to it. She's a cutie.
We took our two little ones to Clark Island today and they had an absolute blast. Lots of clean beach to explore and very few people, other dogs, etc. We could tell they were smiling from ear to ear the whole time!
Clark Island wouldn't be too far for you, and a world away from the mainland.
In the beginning one of ours hated the boat. She still prefers land, but is a lot more content while on the boat. She certainly like to be with the "pack" and likes the destinations. |

Thanks for all the great comments and ideas. Lola's second boat adventure went really well. We brought her blanket from home and that helped. I see many boating trips in this furbaby's future! |
