Hi there,
I had to reset my engines with my mechanic to shut off the Two Beeps going off, there was no alarm message. He didn't know why or what is was for. Now it is doing it again, 4 months later.
1 - What is it for?
2 - Can I reset myself? |

Is it time for a service? Is it the oil light blinking?
If it is a common fault: There is a sequence of beeps:
Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor 1 3-4
Cylinder Temperature Sensor 1-4
Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor 2-3
Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor 4-2
Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor 2-4
Air intake system 2-2
Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor 2 3-2
Fuel injector 4-3
Throttle position sensor 2-1
Shift position sensor 1-2
Overcharging (regulator/rectifier) 1-1
Oil pressure switch 5-3
Idle air control (IAC) valve 3-1
There is a complete list of codes at:
758d1484969113-suzuki-diagnostic-codes-suzuki-codes.pdf
760d1485720336-suzuki-diagnostic-codes-suzuki-codes2.pdf
There is no 2 beep code: there is one beep....one beep = Rectifier & regulator (Over-charging) [NOTE 2]
To reset:
1. Turn the ignition switch on.
2. Remove the emergency stop switch lanyard.
3. Pull out stop switch button 3 times in 10 seconds - hear beep.
4. Turn ignition switch off and install the stop switch lanyard _________________ Bob Austin

Oil Change required? What you describe happened to us when we were in open water, far from civilization in the Desolation Sound, BC area. Because of our location, the panic in my mind and heart was greater than it should have been. We stopped the engine and read it Owner's Manual. It turned out to be the electronics telling us that an Oil Change was required. I had just changed the oil and put in a new oil filter prior to this trip but the Oil Change Minder didn't know this. Your Owner's Manual will give you instructions on how to do a re-set of the Oil Change Minder. I am thinking that this is what you are experiencing but it may be different in your case. |

Thanks Bob. Sorry. I missed that in your post. Yes, that is how you do the re-set. When it happened to us we had to look it up. |
