Patty and I were season ticket holders for about 10 years, from 1977 though 1987, all the great Jack Patera - Jim Zorn - Sherman Smith - Steve Largent - Chuck Knox - Dave Kreig - Steve Largent (yes, I know Largent is in there twice, he deserves to be!) - Curt Warner - Pete Gross seasons, they were so much fun, win or lose. Lost interest in the Ken Behring - Tom Flores - Rick Mirer years and pretty much all subsequent years...until this year!

So yeah, GO HAWKS!!!!

Tom, although I'm not a big fan of watching sports on TV, I'll admit that when some sports get towards the playoffs, I tend to start "following" them.....(much to the worry and dismay of my wife).
However, the thought did occur to me that if only those scumbags that steal from us (re: your radome etc.) were sitting somewhere watching sports on TV or actually attending the games, we wouldn't have to lock up all of the goodies that we've worked so hard to obtain.

(P.S.....Go Seahawks!)

(P.S.S....Deb, nice wheels... Wink )

I too had season tickets, from the very start till they built the new stadium. I could not afford the same seats in the new stadium so I bought a boat and watch on TV.

You are right Pat, there was something about those early days in the Dome. That place just rocked! Even though the UW invented the wave we perfected it. Oh, you left out two of the GREATS..Jacob Green and of course Kenny Easley.

GO SEAHAWKS!!!!!!!

Yeah, Brian Bosworth was the biggest mistake in Seahawk history, well, not counting Ken Behring, Tom Flores and Rick Mirer - Fredd Young (the OTHER "Fred Young," for those of you who are not Seahawk savvy, spelled with two "dd"s) has to take a back seat to (ugh) Brian Bosworth, and ultimately leave the team???? Was that Chuck Knox's idea? Fredd Young was simply THE best athlete on that team at the time...the one guy who always made the play. Read about him here. Thanks for bringing back these memories!!

And if it were not for professional sports there would be that many more thugs, wife beaters and thieves on the streets as the "players" reverted back to their true calling.

I know one of the seahawks, Having taught him a couple lessons. I can't remember his first name, since we go by last names where I train kung fu , but his last name was Bannister and I believe he was on special teams? Don't ask me as I don't watch sports. But he is a really nice guy and is a very hard worker both at training for his career in football and at kung fu which was cross training for him. I'm sure there are some bad ones, ( as in all things) But I'm sure there are some really great guys too.

Ok I admit it's a bit of a blanket statement and not all pro athletes end up on the wrong side of the law. I hear some can even form complete sentences and exit college with more than a third grade education. Wink

People are people there are good and bad no matter what the profession. Have to admit that I have little or no interest in pro sports/athletes and tend to see only the negative side of their behavior.
Maybe that's what happens when you have the blazers to look upon as an example Crook

I have watched a few blazer games recently and I have to admit, there are some of them that appear to be of a higher caliber than most of those of the last few years. Some reminded me a little of twardzik and larry steele and kermit washington. Their center seems to be a really hard worker and a good guy. Hopefully, portland can finally become known for something other than rogue athletes.

Hey Sark, In your profile on the left of your posts I think you mean Kenmore not Kemore?? Unless there is a new annexed town.

Thats okay. For a short time I had North Bind on mine instead of North Bend. To fix it I just moved to Guemes Is. and North Bind disappeared.
