Had 86 classic now 91 angler. Feels tighter, cleaning up nicely though. Getting real excited to see the difference on the water. But first, going over everything. Want to cut ‘above head’ shelf to stand closer to front. 4 screws hold it in place under the teak rails on top. Figured I’d jigsaw an arc keeping the four fasteners. Anyone else mod this area? Thanks. |

That should be OK. In my early 90's cruiser the "screws" holding the shelf, went into the teak rails on the outside. this might be. a good time to take the shelf down, pull the teak rails, check the condition of core, repair if necessary and re-bed the railings.
I have not owned an angler, but have never felt the need to remove the shelf--I am (was) 6' 2". _________________ Bob Austin
