Yes, maybe, but then it also sounded like it came straight from the EZ Lawyer Office. I would be tempted to look at the build specs for each trailer (if there is any chance of getting those) side by side, and see what differences there (really) are.

I know several charter captains on the east side of lake Michigan that use the AP/15 hp set up you described. They use this set up all the time to run their boat while they manage their gear. The only drawback is the little or no amperage thru the 15 to charge your batteries. If you want to improve the efficiency of your 15 and have it do more with less work, add one of these Uncle Norm's trolling fins:

I have used one of these fins on my Honda 50 and 90 and now on my 115 Yamaha with great success. The motor and AP work much more efficiently together. Watch the video's on the web site above. Good luck with your purchase.
