She was actually excited to come home and find this in the livingroom. The distributor was selling these 9' Newport Seascapes on ebay for $400 including shipping. It is PVC, but for $400 it only needs to last a couple seasons.

Very good, sometimes our wives surprise us!

Reminds me of the time I put my airplane wings after recovering in the living room to keep them protected. Didn't think that would "fly" but she turned out to be cool with it. Surprised the heck out of me.

Is there a separate thread where wives post about their surprise when husbands actually keep shop and outside things in those places? There must be 😂. Score on the inflatable! I did often wonder where urban boaters keep things not on the boat. Question answered.

Our PVC dinghy has lasted more than a couple of seasons. UV is the killer. Cover it, deflate & store it out of sunlight and it will last long enough to make the lower cost worth it. In season, when inflated I cover it with a tarp. In winter I store it indoors.

I was forced to buy radar by my understanding wife. We got caught in the fog and glimpsed a passing oil tanker passing as the fog briefly lifted. Recall something to the effect of “We are not ever doing that again!”

303 Protectant helps too. "Sunscreen for your stuff."

PVC inflatable from Gary King, the famed Alaska Series. Mine is now 12 years old. I have had it on the boat, every season, nearly every trip, and love it. I just talked to Gary last Friday, for some info on patching a leak in the inflatable floor. First real issue I have had with this inflatable. A great product, and great service from a great guy.

Harvey, I agree on the Alaska series. The one problem I have with it though is the motor mount tubing rusts readily and has stained the gel coat on the roof. Thinking about having a stainless or aluminum mount fabricated.

We have found that painting a PVC dinghy with PVC paint works well as UV protection and has extended the lives of our dinghys. Our current paint, Buoy Coat, other than being slow to dry has been the best and most economical one yet.

Micah, does that paint stay flexible and fold, bend and not mutilate with the stretching and folding of the inflatable?
