We are beginning to plan our next big adventure for June, 2021. We are planning to take about a month to explore the waters around Prince Rupert, Kitimat and the Khutzeymateen Grizzly Bear Sanctuary. We plan to stay entirely in Canadian waters. What we are looking for is a good guidebook for cruising in the area. We have been using the 'Dreamspeaker' guides for Vancouver Island and they are excellent. We would like to have something similar for this area. I am also interested in more direct information from C-Brats in the future about boating in this area, but I prefer to ask 'intelligent questions' and will run another thread once I am more informed about the journey.

This summer we will be keeping Mistaya in freshwater here in Alberta and BC. We are doing some upgrades, including some insulation and a Wabatso heater to make the wettest part of Canada more comfortable. Our salt water boating will consist of a few weeks of sea kayaking off Vancouver Island and Desolation Sound this summer.

Thank you in advance for any information that you can offer us.

I'd suggest the Douglass guide "Exploring the North Coast of British Columbia"

I have been fishing around Work Chanel since 2004. We love that area and most years the fish cooperate for us. If the bait fish are there the sea life is great. We love having the Humpback whales around when we are there.
We do not stay aboard , we rent accommodation in Lax Kw'alams so our trips would be different than your plans but if I can answer any of your questions I would be happy to help.
