These are links to videos of our 2004, SE Alaska cruise, starting from Prince Rupert, BC, Canada. This was in 2004, the first trip was in 2003 & out of Skagway, Alaska without prior ocean cruising experience & very little anywhere else in anything other than a rubber inflatable or canoe. I original posted this here in the Grand Adventure forum, but the video host to it required a yearly expensive payment from me, so I reloaded it to YouTube. Some of you might enjoy seeing us out exploring, when we had very minimal boating experience.

Part 2 ends with our mishap at Fords Terror

Thanks for posting/reposting that link! Fun to watch. How things have changed in about 16 years, and 27 years (when we made our first forey into AK in our Cal 46. I had to laugh at the end!! Slack water does not exist at the mouth to Ford's Terror. We spent a bunch of time in our 12.5' RIB going back and forth thru the salt water rapids there.

I really enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for sharing them. I've been over some of those same stretches, and it's just wonderful to see them again, even if through someone else's eyes.

Thanks Bill, & I’ve viewed & enjoyed your photos from your trip north too. On the trip this video shows, we were learning quickly how much we didn’t know & that has continued through the last six cruises after it.

Jay, Thanks for the update to YouTube. I just did a trip to AK via Hunky Dory again. Really enjoy your exploring. Glad that FT trip didn't turn out worse.
