In general, are the fish on artificial reefs protected from fishing and spear fishing?

The small reef fish aren't, but the Giant Sea Bass have been on the Protected Species List since 1982 and the Broomtail Groupers have been protected since 1950. |

To show how much I know, which pictures are of the Giant Sea Bass and which of the Broomtail Groupers? Sorry, I can't tell the difference in your pics.

Those were all Giant Sea Bass. We sometimes see the groupers with the GSB. They are about the same size. Some of the GSBs are over five feet long and 500+ pounds.
