Stoked just purchased a 2006 25 and looking forward to setting it up for cruising and fishing. I made a post under outboards as I will be repowering. It will spend most of its life on my boat lift but will trailer some. The trailer is under rated at 6000lb carrying capacity. Hope to sell that and get a trailer with approximately 8700 lb carrying capacity/10000 gvwr. My dock and boat lift are at the mouth of the Potomac River where it meets the Chesapeake. Great cruising area. Looking forward to meeting some of you brats. I still have a 19 Arima also. |

Jimmie,
Welcome to the world of boats that can be used year-around.
Also you are welcome to use my dock anytime that you cruise to the Hampton Roads area. I am located near the mouth of the Western Branch of the Elizabeth River. _________________ Steve Baum

Welcome aboard! Wise move on the trailer! Even with a dock and lift at our home, our boat spends a substantial amount of time on its trailer.
You do live at a point where there is some wonderful cruising. There are also several C Brats in your area. _________________ Bob Austin

Thanks for the quick replies. Forgot to mention my tow vehicle is a 2018 Tundra ext cab long bed with the 5.7 V-8. Should do ok on this side of the Rockies I guess. |

Jimmie, Welcome to the C-BRAT community. Great folks here, and tons of excellent information on the boats. Good choice to upgrade the trailer, and your truck should do fine for most towinf situations you are in there. And sounds like you have some great opportunity right there from your lift.

Got the boat home yesterday. Tundra pulled it just fine and stopped it as well as the brakes don't have any hydraulic power on the trailer. Guess I will pour some fluid in and see how bad it runs out. The tires are starting to dry rot as well. Kept my top speed to 45 mph. Not any middle finger waves as I stayed to rural roads. Got some rv anti-freeze and winterized the freshwater systems. Will start cleaning up and working on stuff as time permits over the next few months. |
