I have a Standard Horizon 2150, which is the precursor to the 2200. Functanally they are the same now. Rogers Marine in Portland OR did the instal. That VHF will send AIS targets to your plotter via NEMA 0183. That overlay, or AIS layer, on the plotter is part of what makes using the AIS info so easy. I would highly recommend setting up to have that capability especially if this is on a second Installed VHF. Then, if you get the AIS clutter as Bob mentioned, like in a marina, if it is not easy to turn off that AIS layer on the plotter, you can just turn off the VHF. BOINK, all the AIS targets are gone.

Happy AIS using. (Your gonna love it Smile

Brent,
I have the radio and chart plotter that you asked about. I spent time on the phone with both Garmin and Standard Horizon techs and neither one could help with the connections. I ended up figuring it out on my own.
Blue wire from Standard Horizon connects to brown wire of Garmin Ecomap.
Sorry for the delay in my response, but I had to go to my boat and recheck the wiring to confirm my answer.
