The ole’ classics may not have all the bells and whistles of the newer boats but it was their great success as a simple efficient and safe boat that laid the foundation for all the later models. If you get a good hull and a good motor you have got yourself a good boat. There isn’t much more to them! They are ideal for just getting into the C Dory world. A 1982 with original 70 hp Johnson was my first. If you don’t need to go fast but want to be get there and back with just the change in your pocket they are great!
