Margaret just pointed out to me that windy has a web cam layer available on their app. In the bottom right corner there is an icon of a video camera, click on that and web cams will appear.
You might have to prompt "more layers" but not sure.

Thanks for the tip!
Windy had been one of my favourite boating apps for a long time and now it is even more! The only caveat I have noticed is there is still a chance of localized winds blowing in a different direction than shown.
I was just up in Gibson’s. Windy was showing the general wind pattern blowing nw down the Strait but watching the flags is was actually blowing down Howe sound (at almost 90degrees to windy map)
Keeping this in mind adds safety to my travels. Now I can actually check a web cam where I am going
