I noticed in your galley the bimini on your boat. I've seen them on a couple other C-Dorys. What's it called and who makes it? |

I think you are referring to the umbrella. I believe it is made by Taylor Made. West Marine sold them at one time. I had it special ordered from my marine store.
I is square and a perfect size for the cockpit of our boats and super easy to take down when not in use. It has a centre pole. |

Sandra, your boat looks pretty nice. You really did some good upgrades. Just singed on, so looking for your story from your East Van Isl trip. Best in your sale.

It is with great sadness that I said to goodbye to C-Gypsy today.
During the time I had her, I went from the Broughtons to the San Juan Island and everywhere in between as well as Jervis Inlet and the Sunshine Coast and Alberni Inlet, Nootka Sound and Clayoquot Sound and Hot Springs Cove.
When I started this grand adventure I knew nothing about cruising or ocean boating and was fortunate to have wonderful people around me to learn from.
The C-Brats site was amazing because I learned so much and was able to make much better decisions because of the advice and suggestions that so many people were willing to share.
I am eternally grateful to all the help that was offered and for the opportunity to meet wonderful people at the CBGTs that I attended. I think I will miss that the most, although I am told that once you are a C-Brat you are always a C-Brat. So that is nice to know.
I am not sure what my next adventure will be, but I know that it is time for me to find out.
Thank you again to everyone who has shared help, advice, and comradery . |

Hi Sandra!
I'm sad to hear that you have sold C-Gypsy, but happy knowing that because of your spirit, fortitude, and zest for life your next adventure will be a great one. It was wonderful cruising with you, Harvey, and Dave up Jervis Inlet. Good times for sure.. All the best,
Chris & Cathy

Sandra, Sorry to hear, and glad too, for you, about the sale. It was a real pleasure to cruise with you. And thank you for teaching me about anchoring in SHALLOW water. Every time I do that I remember the time we anchored in the Bamfield Inlet and the man came out from his cabin to tell you your boat would be on dry beach at low tide. (It wasn't, I think I remember 2 ft of water down there.) Thanks for the lessons.
Glad for you, because it was your choice and you did what you wanted to on your boat, and sad because it's not likely we will cross wakes again. Hope to meet up, and catch up down the road. Be safe and enjoy the next journey.
Chris and Cathy, thanks for posting those pix. That was a very fun and memorable trip.
Harvey

Thank you Harvey and Chris and Cathy. I really think it is the people I will miss the most.
Those are really great pictures and Jervis Inlet and Princess Louisa were awesome. |
