Hull # DOR22644C393
Boat is all original with back canopy and side zip ups never used
Lowrance HDS10 INSIGHT
Twin honda 45s, might need overhauled or replacement their original
Single axels ezloader ok but wearing out
Lost my fishing and cruising mate my dad recently. Boat been sitting 2 years.
Need to move on, thinking of selling.
Looking for $10K for quick sell.
Is this unreasonable or too low? Hard to think straight on something this personal.

I'm on the east coast, Chesapeake bay.

First up - please accept our condolences on the loss of your dad and fishing/cruising buddy. So sorry to hear about that.

RE your boat - the truth is, this could be the best deal I've ever seen on a 22, or a huge money pit and major restoration job. Condition is everything, and if both engines need replacing and significant trailer work needed - a $10K boat could quickly turn into a $25-30K boat, and those aren't terribly hard to find in good condition, ready to go.

If on the other hand, the boat is fully functional, and just needs a little TLC - you're priced way too low.

Pics would help, as would many more details. However, even if significant work was needed - cheap C-Dorys always seem to go fast, so its doubtful you would have much trouble selling at $10K almost regardless of condition. Unless the hull has serious issues, it alone could be worth that to somebody willing to do the work.

Thanks for the kind words.

Selling the boat is part if the healing process.

Hull is nearly perfect.
Engines and trailer work ok, but 20+ yrs on the Chesapeake, and sitting out a2 years, have put them to the test.
I would replace them. Everything else good. Will need to get pictures.

Also sorry for your loss.

I am looking for a 22 cruiser. Price point is important so I would love to talk. And see your boat. I am from Tampa, FL, but can fly or drive up to see it. We would trailer it home.

Do you know what year the boat is and how many hours are on the engines?

again m2cw

Have a mechanic work on the motors esp checking the compression on each cylinder . Rebuild carbs. change lower unit oil and have it pressure checked. Drain gas tanks and clean

Are the props in good condition?

Does power trim and tilt working smoothly.

Replace batteries with high quality and high capacity.

Buyers have need to repower later.
