2008 C Dory Tomcat 255 for sale by original owner. Vessel is in near perfect condition, equipped and ready to go adventuring. It has always been garaged when not in use, engines always professionally maintained.
The boat is C Dorys second generation of power catamarans, a pilot house model, 25.5 feet, with twin Mercury Verado 150 engines (375 hours on the engines). The engines are mounted to Armstrong transom swim step, leaving enough space for a huge 45 square foot, self bailing cockpit. Total length in excess of 27 feet.
The catamaran hull provides extremely stable flat ride even in moderate chop. Cruise at 30 mph on 2mpg fuel consumption. Max speed attained 40 mph. All components of the propulsion system- engines, batteries, fuel tanks, filters, controls etc feature redundant operation, providing independent operation and the security of extremely dependable "get home" capability. Boat can maintain 10 mph on a single engine.
Engines have always been professionally maintained, records available for review. Boat is on custom designed E Z Loader trailer with recently upgraded stainless steel parts and is simple to launch and retrieve. is the ideal boat for adventure boating or fishing. Especially set up as mother ship for kayak expeditions with custom fabricated racks allowing a single person to launch or stow 2 single or double kayaks on cabin roof.
Interior features queen size forward berth. Dinette folds down for additional sleeping capacity. All elements for overnight adventuring provided-toilet and shower, diesel burning Wallas cook stove (doubles as a cabin heater), hot and cold pressurized water system, fresh water and black water tanks, refrigerator, 8D house battery and inverter for 12v or 120 v power. We also installed a diesel burning Wallas forced air furnace ducted to forward berth and windshield which maikes the boat comfortable to overnight during early spring and fall.
Electronics include factory installed Mercury Smartcraft digital controls, Lowrance multi function GPS/Fathometer/fishfinder/chart plotter. Auxiliary Lowrance Fathometer/water temperature gage installed for redundant operation, VHF radio, Sony multi function sound system.
Exterior features include Lewmar anchor winch, 300 feet of line, 2 anchors; self bailing cockpit, twin flush deck mounted fish lockers with macerator pumps discharging directly overboard; raw water deck washdown pump, switch and hose connection; cockpit lights; rail mounted BBQ and downrigger.
Hull: 22.5 ft length X 8.5 ft beam with 6.5 ft headroom. 6,000 lb weight(excluding engines) with 45 SF self bailing cockpit, built-in insulated fish lockers, through bolted 1" 316 stainless rails, schedule 80 welded aluminum roof mounted racks with built- in extendable crab pot davit.
