I just uploaded more photos. The hull is in really good shape. Mechanically and electronically it’s like new. |

What a privilege. This is a really nice machine. Put it in Lake Whatcom for a couple hours of engine break-in time yesterday. Total treat. Thanks Ron. |

Isn’t is wonderful how life events just line up sometimes? What makes that happen?
I’d been stressing for a while about not using my boat. Last Thursday Rose and I received a call from a dear relative who was in financial difficulties, party because of health issues. My wife talked of moving some money from our retirement funds. That gave me the opportunity to talk to her about selling the boat and giving part of the money to our niece. What a relief for me as I finally was able to talk about the stress of not using the boat. I could sell it and feel good about where the money went.
I put up an add Friday morning and got a resource shortly after. Bruce met on Sunday and finalized the sale on Monday.
I’ve owned numerous boats in my life. But, C-Dory’s are special. It’s like they have souls. These boats deserve to be cared for and placed in good homes when the time comes.
Part of the soul is because of this group of soulful C-Dory owners. Though I may never do the Great Loop, of the Inside Passage I can be with you as you courageous folks make the journey.
Will this be my last boat? No. Will I own another C-Dory? Perhaps. I envision my next boat being a small skiff that we can cruise local lakes, or boat in the South Sound a time or two.
Peace |
