If these boats are so tough
Why only a five year warranty?
My dog Buck, "The Wonder Dog" used always rode on the bow
Hit this big wake from a Yacht in Crystal River and he flew up,
the boat continued under him and he landed in the back seat
Used to ride on my truck toolbox and would look over the cab at the road to
determine which side to go to for the upcoming curve |

Looking for those "wave jumping" pics and ran across this:
Whaler folk's opinions of C-dory
Of course Whalers are great when they're new
But nothing but anchors when they become water-logged

Did after a bit of looking see that one
or one similar
Saw really cool thread of a 22 towing a Mauret or what ever they're called too
Marinaut (sp?) Like them but looked at one today
Advertised at about fifty grand
Then they started adding all the extras and don't even think that included the motor and trailer either |

Really like to have a Nordic Tug that's here for sale locally
But NO, don't want to pay for slip or maintain a boat that's in the water all the time
HoJo's beyotching about me looking at this 22
Although I think this boat will fill a void between where we are
And where we were having always owned a place on the water
She wants to quit working and tells me daily
Of course, I closed up about two months after she went back to work
Seeing that I no longer had to pay for her overhead
I could quit,
Yea, I'm an |

Facebook tonight:
Pissed off, could be worse: Go into store for beer,
not one case of Busch has been bought but every dayum Busch light case is gone;
luckily there was one 18 pack left
Friend posted:
Drink something that tastes like beer, Stella, Corona, Sam, etc...ha!!!
My Response:
Stella is the absolute crapiest beer there is, even HoJo hates it
Now Corona, quit once for a month;
HoJo came down to Big Pine and literally threw a twelve pack at me and said "here, drink this"
...but wasn't worth a shit without a bit of key lime from the side yard.
I planted the tree in an Australian Pine stump that had gone bye-bye in Hurricane...David, I think
Was always up early and sitting under the house kickin' back,
the garbage guys would empty my cans and all those Corona bottles would tumble out.
They knew I was there and would volunteer to clean my cans for a beer.
It became a ritual and they were always welcome.

Perhaps you're looking at the wrong Nordic.

We almost bought a Nordic tug at one point but the over 8'6" beam made for to many multi state wide load permit hassles. We ended up with a Ranger tug, a nice boat but to many maintenance problems and lack of diesel in some areas led us to the simple to use and maintain C-dory. _________________ Micah Curtis and Dana, RN

Depends on location, but point well taken. It can be a major PITA, or almost a non-issue. In WA, getting an oversize permit is relatively cheap and easy online.
Even if permits weren't an issue, I'd not tow a Nordic 26 significant distances. It's just no fun - it's a LOT of boat and trailer. Even with adequate tow vehicle, an excellent trailer and electric over hydraulic brakes - I find it nerve wracking. I just weighed the Nordic on the trailer, fully loaded for cruising - just over 12K. That's significantly more than a Tomcat, and way more than a CD25. And, even with my relatively short standard cab/8' bed - I'm still right about 60' long. With the trailer axles so far back, it's extremely difficult to maneuver unless you have tons of space.
The Nordic 26 is a great boat, and if one can live with the compromises between it and its larger water bound brethren - it's awesome it can be towed/stored out of the water. However, no way I'd suggest one to anyone wanting to trailer routinely and/or long distances. C-Dory clearly wins in that category. |

Wow! That's some boat
And the fact that much of the area where we live is way too shallow also.
Most everyone here gathers at The Flats for a cocktail |

Really hate working on tractors
Only one left and it's just a small lawn mower
Zerts won't take grease for the spindles
Had to go buy a 1/4" swivel socket due to mine's out at the camp
Now the grease fitting just seems to spin and won't come out |
