Enjoy being empty nesters
But I really thought Hailey would be here as long as her older sister
...28
Both had prepaid college and can't believe after being accepted, Mal didn't go back for her masters
Crazy not to take advantage of such things
I really miss them being here |

Well, 30 more horses
did the trick,
got me through Deception Pass,
flying, not like a brick
over that big standing wave.
And, through the Rip line at Marrowstone too,
and even the big rip at Wilson, we came through,
So, yup, it's bigger but just by a few, and man o man
What it can do.
And only 30 more horses,
Hardly more than a few.
Harvey

I hear ya Harvey
I can see where 30 more horses on a flat bottomed C-Dory
would make all the difference in the world.
We have big rollers that come into Ponce Inlet here
Due to the channeling of water from the jetty |

Oh, and Harvey
I see where your's has twins
I like that
And if in your situation out there I'd do the exact same thing
What are those, fifties, sixties?
Did you go from a single 90 to twin 60s for the added 30 horses?
Way nice |

...or from a 70 to twin 50s?
See they're twin 40s
Did you actually have a single 50?
Would love to hear that
I'm worried about the single 70 on the one I'm trying out Thursday |

Dayum
Wife just called from work
and reminded me I'm suppose to work out today
Be five years in October since I screwed-up my back
And have gained about 35 pounds
Wish I could get back below 200
But the microwave just called me with hot Chicken and Dumplin's |

This is what I got her:
Just like I've taught her
First two cartridges are shot shells
That will stop most anyone
I hope anyway |
The shot shells are for squirrels and snakes. They are not reliable against anything bigger. If she needs the gun in extremis premium hollow point or something like low recoil ARX ammunition is required. Get her to a class with competent instruction, it may save her life one day.
If I am being blunt it's because being armed saved me form multiple assailants and I take this seriously. |

WeekiiTiki, I know your pain! I had to order NINE Kohler toilets to get three good ones. The Koehler packaging is terrible! Mine came from HD. I just ordered a Kohler vanity and the base was broken in shipment.
I wouldn’t want to work in the Kohler shipping department... _________________ Patrick Rohde

Absolutely Chester
She's already signed up for the class
Although I'm not talking about "rat shot"
These are more like number sixes
Anyway, I'll check out the shot shells with some gelatin to see just exactly what they'll do
She's living with two other girls and they all have weird hours so there's times when she is by herself at home
Really sucks that we have to think about such things |

I hear ya
really surprised me
But the vanity cabinet top is already cut for this particular sink
And FWIW: You can't go wrong with Toto toilets. They're expensive though |

And Chester
We never had any problems like we have today
When all of us down here drove around with loaded rifles and shotguns hanging in our truck windows
Of course we didn't have half of NY here then either
Since HoJo and I graduated from High School
Exactly 40 years ago
The population of our county has increased six fold from 50K to nearly 300K |

Wife and I used to paddle our canoe quite often
But these days you might as well forget it
Due to the hordes of kayaks coming down stream with the current
You'd be hard pressed to even get this photo these days from our old dock
Without a kayak being in it

Finally showed HoJo today the 22 Cruiser I'm looking at
Never thought she'd be excited about another boat
Had a convertible cruiser once and she'd get sick every time she went down into the cabin
This little dory in calm water may change all that though |
You don't "go down" into the cabin- that's what great about the C-Dory _________________ Roger

Yea Roger
Really looking forward to trying the boat out Thursday
She's making me promise to get rid of one more boat
I've still got a little 17 foot cat that I use for near shore trolling
And a motorcycle or three |

When we had our house built recently the contractor and plumbers refused to install anything from Lowes or HD. Our new sinks are Kohler.
Buy your stuff at a plumbing supply store. We just bought a bathroom sink for the old house at a plumbing supply store and it was less money and nicer than HD stuff. |
