See it comes with a ten speed transmission

Suppose when you select "trailer"

...that it turns off the ecoboost

The ecoboost in my Jeep with the 360 V8 shuts down four cylinders

Guessing that small diesel is four cylinder, or is it six?

Must be six and shuts two cylinders down

Does it tow in high gear?

not an ecoboost has 6 cylinders one manually selects from 5 options including tow/haul
