|
|
I have a 96 - 25 Super cruiser.
My pilot, starboard, side sliding window has a crack.
I removed the plastic trim, and I almost have enough room to move the window, but the aluminum, Vertical piece prevents me from pushing the window up enough.
Any tips to remove this vertical aluminum piece, it looks like there is a rubber gasket under it.
I am thinking to get some plastic scrappers, and try to shim it off, but any all advice is apreciated.
Note- I got a local glass shop to make me a new window if I bring in the old one, estimate is $150, in so cal. |

i would just tow the boat to the Installer let them remove / reinstall the new window. I had to put one in one time and it wasn't easy. You need a glazing tool to get it into the rubber seal. _________________ Capt Mac Daniel

A small piece of 2x4 & a plastic hammer will tap the end piece off. It is only held on with pressure. I put all of mine back on with a bit of RTV
