Just a friendly tip
If they respond that they know “Frisco”, they’re not from San Francisco |

Ferg is definitely right on...
Once I retired my wife and I moved down to the Las Vegas valley, but before we moved I spent my first 62 years of life in the Bay Area. I was raised boating on SF Bay and in the Delta, first on my family's cabin cruiser, then later on my own sailboat(s). With retirement in 2012 came our C-Dory (Cape Cruiser), which we absolutely love! It is a fabulously versatile and well built boat. We don't visit the bay much anymore since it's kind of a "been there, done that" kind of thing. I don't know what your questions might be so I may not be a good resource, but feel free to check in if you so desire. I do know there are several active Brats who live and boat in Northern California so they should be able to provide relevant current info.

Hello Capt Mears,
Life long Bay Area guy, several decades here on the SF Bay, recovering sailer turned to C Dory 22 about 8 years ago. What are your questions?
FYI: Yep, nobody here calls "The City" Frisco. used to be result of pride, now, I think just habit... not much civic pride in evidence anymore. Literally have to step over fecal matter and dodge aggressive bums. |

Just like Seattle and several other West Coast and other US cities.
Too bad there isn't another Australia to ship them (homeless/druggies) off to.
(Add in all the Death Row, Lifers, and other long term prisoners we have in state and federal prisons.)
AND we have them here in Redding and all over the US in smaller numbers. Disgusting and infuriating!
Now back to" just being nice"!
Sorry,
Joe. _________________ Sea Wolf, C-Brat #31

Also, I lived in the Bay Area (Fremont) for 38 years from 1965-2003.
I could help answer your questions, if I knew what they were.
We raced small sailboats for 31 years all over the Bay and Pacific Ocean, up and down the California foothills, Oregon, and up to Puget Sound and down to San Diego. (Miss the fun!)
