Does anyone know if this place is still in business? They are not answering their phone (and the phone will not take messages) or emails.
Thanks,

John, is this the #you are trying - 850-932-1904? They do have a website with a contact page as well here https://sabinemarina.com/
If you get there post us some pics of your 246 - great boat!
Regards,

John,
Did you mean Sabine Marina?
sabinemarina.com
There is an unprotected city pier without utilities just east of it which I think is free.
Palafox Marina is in downtown Pensacola and nice to explore the town but not close to the beach.
Big Lagoon south of Trout Point Nature Preserve is a nice spot to anchor out beside miles of National Park beach. Can be bumpy with North winds and some ICW wakes. A protected option is in the nearby Ft McRae (McCree on some maps) cove, but only enter from west unless high tide and good water visibility.
Safe voyaging!

Yup, tried all that. The phone a number of times, the contact provision on their web site and an email address a found on another site. Nothing. Not the behavior I would expect from a going concern.
No response.
Re boat pictures: our blog has all the pictures we have, although I would be the first to admit I am a function over form kind of guy. |

You might want to check out Island Cove Marina on Bayou Chico- it’s low key, well protected and affordable with plenty of slips. 850-455-4552 We’ve been here a couple of weeks and now we may never leave Bayou Chico, so be careful. _________________ SnT (Steve & Tina)

The Sabine Marina--has never really been a traditional "marina" in the sense with a formal office etc. I would contact the Frisky Dolphin" 850-934-3141 and they should be able to give you some information.
Steve's idea of the Island Cove marina is also a great suggestion. John who owns that marina has several others on Bayou Chico. Also Palafox pier is another great destination--because of the rejuvenation of downtown Pensacola. Fantastic restaurants within walking distance. _________________ Bob Austin

I know nothing to do with Sabine Marina but it's news on the Gulf Coast.
Last December I did a trip and stayed at St Andrews Marina in Panama City and then went on to Port St Joe Marina.
Port St Joe was destroyed in Hurricane Michael as was Panama City Marina but I thought St Andrews was not hit that hard. I was wrong. I talked to them today about maybe getting a transient slip over the holidays.
Nope. They have to totally rebuild all their docks (nice floating docks). She said it would be at least a year before they are ready for boats. _________________ 2007 25 Cruiser 150 Suzuki (2013-2016)

Ken,
If you have the travel time, try anywhere in the Keys. Many Brats have posted positive reviews of Blackfin Marina in Marathon.
We like Stock Island Marina Village in Key West and are there now.
They bought Key West A&B Marina if you like the downtown vibe.
Buy a Sunpass account online and a $4.99 window transponder to fly through all FL turnpikes.
Launch at Garrison Bight City Boat Ramp for $10 and store a 2 axle trailer for $10/day.
Mighty Wench (John+Susan), where are you and where are you going?
Cheers!

We still don't know for sure, but I think we will end up at Long Beach Marina in Mississippi (not listed in Active Captain so I didn't find it until yesterday - see the thread on that!). It is on the beach, estimated cost of less than $200/mo with rig/trailer parking thrown in. Some web sites claim they do not have WIFI, but the guy I talked to says they do.
My wild guess is that we will be there sometime mid or late Jan.
Thanks for asking.

I was over at Panama City and PCB last weekend--basically all of the marinas there were totally destroyed. |
