Lee, the shop manager / Extraordinaire of Wefin's is keeping real good notes/(tickets Rolling Eyes ) on all items going into, off of, back on, C-Byrd. I will follow up on brand, modle number, and mix of all paint stuff....once I have it all in about a week. I kinda get an update about every 3 days from Marc and his crew as to allow them to focus and get'r done. They are working on making me a trailer now... I can not have that pretty lady ride'n on an ol' worn out pair of shoes.... Mr. Green

Thanks for the many kind words from all.

OK.... More Progress to report... 1st, Thanks to all who have sent individual pictures, parts list, input, thoughts, prayers, drawings, "if I had to do it overs...".... and the such. Again, you made this upgrade easier..

Got to try her out the 1st time Thanksgiving Weekend during a last minute get-together/gathering when I found that a few of my Bama/TN C-Dory friends could get together on very short notice...and on a whim... We had a blast.

Now... the pictures and results of the group effort...

The envelope please....

Looks superb, Pat. I like and may plagarize that "dodger" feature on your canvas. Us altitude advantaged folk could use it.

That shadow on the bow in the dockside photo really looks cool and has me wondering what a C-18 or C-22 would look like with a paint job that imitates an Orca. A live Orca, not the boat.

Makes me wish I knew photoshop better....

Don

Thanks to all for your kind words. I think my next project will be some type of box seat arrangement for storage of some things, mixed with a board that you can drop between the seat boxes, much like down the port dinnette side of other CDs, and a pad to drop in place for sleeping. That would make for a very large sleeping pad without having to move to many things about while cruising, and...folks that are over 5'8" will not have to do the rolly-polly to sleep....they can really stretch out.

Got my eyes on some of the projects on Lil-Mac...and some other nifty improvement projects.

Tom, Chris....and ALL OTHERS:::

Time for the inside work on C-Byrd. What have others used to re-do the insides of the boat please? How do they do that splattered and scattered look? Base coat of something...followed by something else....? Rolling Eyes

What have others used in the process? Have a "doctors call" for C-Byrd back down at Wefing's later this month.... and figured that paint and fiberglass guy could get me fixed up cleaner/better than I could do the learn as I go mode....

?????
