Sorry, but I don't have any insights as to Suzuki service in Canada. You might check out Nanaimo, Comox, Powell River, Cambell River, Port McNeil and Port Hardy to see what shops sell Suzuki. Many shops can do basic service on any kind of motor I would think but warranty work would only be available through a dealership most likely.

There is a shop in Powell River called Koleszar Marine that I have used before. It is a family owned business and they provided exceptional service. I had an issue and they fit me in the same day during peak season, pulled the boat to investigate, fixed the problem and had me back on the water in a few hours. It was not cheap but it was fair given location and season. I recommend them and would use them again if I had a need in Powell River area. They are within a short walking distance of the marina.

There is a Suzuki Motor of North America and a Suzuki Motor of Canada. Found in our warranty that "all warranty repairs must be made by an authorized Suzuki Motor of America outboard dealer within the continental United States." It doesn't appear we are covered in Canada as you experienced with your Honda.

Hope we don't have to do the same as you did and do the long haul home with the 9.9 hp kicker. It is good to know that it can be done.
