rookie needs help

Hello. My family is new to salt-water fishing. We got a crab pot with our boat last summer and had lots of luck near Bellingham.

I am going to learn how to catch sole and dabs to keep the kids busy.

But what I need help with is accelerated Salmon school. I want to mooch or jig but will troll to catch. I have a copy of Martinis Saltwater Fishing Journal.

Is there anyone who like to spend time teaching me how to read the fish finder and rig for salmon fishing, either trolling, mooching, or jigging? I live in Bellingham but could travel to the south sound for a day or two.

I know this is a big ask, thanks!
