Hello to all!.
After a brief sabbatical of self imposed C Dory deprivation, I splashed out yesterday and bought a '07 16' Angler, on a trailer, 50 HP Merc 4 stork, EFI. Nice, low hour local boat that needed a new home. Putting together a relatively short "to-do" list. The furry weatherstrip around the Diamond Sea Glaze side windows has molted, and needs attention. I see that this product is available (Advantec store), but not sure how to go about replacing it. Looks like windows have to come out. Anyone out there done this and want to share some tips?
Glad to be back in the fold, looking forward to getting this boat out and seeing how she performs.

SCORE! That's a C-Dory cruiser, twice the boat of an angler. As a bonus, your hull numbers are easy to remember.
I haven't replaced the sliding fuzzy stuff. I did vacuum some of the dirt out and make them slide again.

I thought the Cruiser had the Alaskan bulkhead, where the Angler had the open cockpit. This one is open, with canvas to enclose the helm. |

The picture is of an Angler. The Cruiser had more cabin and less cockpit. No bulkhead. _________________ David and Kate

Nice. That reminds me of my first boat.

A six foot V berth, and a table, and four inches more head room. Woo hoo! You can still catch fish (just like with an angler), but you can also sleep, eat, and hunch over less. Twice the boat. https://www.c-dory.com/boat/16-cruiser/
The 16 cruiser doesn't have an Alaskan bulkhead. The angler has a tiny strip of cabin wall behind the window and the entire cabin sits further forward in order to get a little larger cockpit. https://www.c-dory.com/boat/16-angler/
Apparently, the idea with the angler model is to provide sufficient room in the cockpit for even stumbling ineffectual fishermen to catch a fish. For experienced fishermen, it is wasted space. Maybe I'm overstating the difference.

I think the angler has more weight forward for a better ride. |

Hey Reddog,
Congratulations on the CD 16 Cruiser. It's the same year as mine. I'm running a Suzuki DF 50. These little boats are the Toyota FJ 40s or Jeep CJ5s on water.
Take care and be safe,

Like the CD 16, neither the FJ 40 or the CJ5 have standing headroom or a toilet. Does the CD 22? If so, then maybe it's the Winnebago of boats? Just kidding.
The CD 16 is actually more like my Honda Trail 90. It is really tight for two people and inspires me to go places where I probably shouldn't go.

Hey Guys,
My perspective: CD 16, short wheelbase, narrow track, barebones.
CD 22 classic, longer wheelbase, wider track. (IE International TravelAll, Chevy Suburan, Toytoa FJ 45 wagon or troop carrier) More room, little more comfortable.
The problem I had with a Honda Trail 90; I kept falling off, especially at night while trying to sleep. My wife, though small, kept taking all the room.

That's a cruiser, just look at the top of the cabin. The angler doesn't have that added height on the roof which is clearly seen behind the stainless bar. Oh and about the "Alaskan bulkhead", if by that you mean the drop down canvas curtain and door, neither boat comes from the factory with that. It's an option. . I had them both and I love them both equally. Enjoy that great boat. _________________ MartyP
