The difficulty in selling my boat seems to be the larger than recommended motor. It has a 130hp Honda and the factory recommends only 100hp.
If anyone is interested in just the boat, then I can have the motor removed and you can add a 100hp motor as recommended by the factory.

I will required a confirmed sale before I have the motor removed.

Carl

Is a trailer included for that $10k price (excluding power)?

Don't understand why the larger motor is a problem. If it's too powerful, just throttle back until it is comfortable. It may depend on the age of the motor, but if it is a weight issue, a newer 130hp motor probably weighs a bit less than a '98 130 motor.

That said, on my '08 22 the 90 hp is plenty good enough for the loads we typically carry. While the 90 will get my boat up to about 30 mph, it is rare that the water conditions allow that.

Insurance may be a problem if exceeding manufacturers recommendations.

Hey Brats,

If I remember the original posting from a year or so ago, the buoyance pontoons were aviation/marine grade aluminum. Aluminum is easy to cut and sand/file down. Using a pneumatic highspeed grinder, the proper cutoff wheel and a little water to keep from heat build up affecting the fiberglass and to keep hot metal from adhering to the fiberglass, the pontoons could be cut down and converted into swim platforms.

Or, they could be cut down to the base plate, smoothed off, painted and left in place. Either way, with the engine removed, it should be a fairly easy job and someone would have a good project boat for a great price.

Just a thought... Laughing

Take care and be safe. Spuncopper

The ballast tanks are bolted to the transom with 12 bolts each.
To remove them, simply unbolt them and seal the holes in the transom.

Yes, the trailer is included. I will take the motor off and put it on another boat.
Everything that I've added to the C-dory will stay: Garmin chart plotter, depth transducer, external antenna, flood light.
