Just became 1st time C dory owner and cant wait to use boat. I went to fill freshwater to find out the tank has been taken off and hose cut. I would like to put something back in to hold water any suggestion?
Fits under Dinette seat under cushion on 1989 22ft. Cruiser

I am not quite sure how many gallons it as either or where the pump was actually located? any help would be great like what tank and type of pump?
The boat also has a wash down would this be raw water?

On our 89 22 cruiser the water tank is a white poly tank under the aft passenger seat and holds 20 gallons.
Pretty sure it is original.

Came with a manual foot pump similar to this:

We replaced it with a small 12v on demand pressure pump mounted under the kitchen sink.

Moeler makes a 20 gallon water tank, which probably will fit: 17.00″L x 14.00″W x 22.00″H, Ronco makes a 20 gallon" 18.5 x 18 x 16 water tank, again, that will probably fit. You can call C Dory factory and see what tank they are using.

Measure the inside of the area under the dinette rear seat, and see what will fit. As I recollect the tank in my 22's had a slanted floor, and a top fill and vent. You can "T" off a 1/4" ID clear plastic tube to use as a site gauge.

As Tex, our 22's both had a Whale foot pump--and I added a small push button switch low flow electric pump, in line before the foot pump, when we wanted more water than just a couple of foot taps.

My 08 22 had the plastic tank under the aft dinette seat. I took it out because the space is more valuable as storage.

My long term plan is to put a tank in the bow under the berth. However, we don't use the sink that much and so far haven't had a need for lots of water on board. We carry drinking water in smaller bottles that are easy to store in nooks, crannies, and the refrigerator. We also carry a couple of 1 gallon jugs for wash water which are readily refilled (vs. filling a 20 gallon tank).

The tank is sitting in my shed. If anyone wants it, I'm sure we can work something out. PM me.
