There is a "tiny" boat between that one and the next row where the two opposing bows nearly meet. It is not a 60. Maby a 25 CC Walkaround with a T top.

In my opinion, moving ahead with the any of the commercial boat transporters is always a better option to proceed with so as to make all the things go much smoother. As experts have better knowledge and can handle any critical situation of transportation, going with them reduces the risk of damage to the heavy items. Might you must have got the proper solution of your problem till now, BillE, but in case if you ever feel like to contact some expert, you can go with Connecticut Auto Transporter anytime, as they are always available for their customers and provide a high-quality service of transportation. Good luck buddy.

Before my 42 Atlantic cat was made in the Chesapeake, I spoke to owners of
others of the same designer. One guy had a new 46 footer made in New Zealand
dropped from a crane while loading it onto a freighter deck. It had to go back to
the builder for repairs which delayed the NZ departure about 6 months.
Afterward, it successfully shipped by freighter to the US west coast and, despite
being shrink wrapped, was "saturated with diesel smoke residue" both outside
and inside the shrink wrap. It was salvageable but he was not happy with the
shipping experience tho' later said "better than sailing the wrong way across the
Pacific, probably".

As a working philosophy, I used to take pride in what I did and assumed what
I did not wish to take on myself, whoever took that job would do it with the same
motivation. Too many experiences later, I changed this belief.

Aye.
Grandpa used to say, "Do not make assumptions."

Is it just me, or does the above response sound like a computer?

Sounds like spam--some one who has drug up several old posts. BillE's boat was transported to Nashville many months ago. We seem to occasionally get these type of posters--who do not apparently own C Dorys--and don't express an interest in them.

I guess you haven't noticed the condition that I have mentioned in my comment. It was just a suggestion which can help him in future.

I noticed the same thing. First day, 7 entries, all on old threads and pretty generic comments and none related threads.

Maybe it would be helpful if there was a little more information in the profile. Nothing wrong with trying to be helpful, we just are a bit careful about what computers we talk with here.

??/ that is the craziest thing I have heard. Is there a reason? For the cost of towing a boat to and from the other coast you just might want to rent one instead.

My wife has ridden with me for over half a million miles pulling a boat or RV. No problems. 3 yrs ago she put a halt to it. She said the trip we just finished was the 80th trip over the Alaska Hyw. and she was tired of it. We fly now and I hate it but she is much happier and pleasant. I also quit wearing out pickup trucks. 3 so far.
