The new Angler worked out great as an inshore dive platform.
We easily managed 4 divers with 4 tanks on Saturday and 3 divers with 6 tanks on Sunday.
Tank racks with pre set up rigs, new 4 step ladder, and tidy gear placement helped a lot.
I am so thrilled with my new boat!!!

She runs great, but I'll need to get used to being on plane, then someone moves and she feels like she's going to tip over sideways. Thats a new feel to me. I guess that goes along with the kind of rounded to flat hull shape.

Having a windlass was amazing too! So much work saved.

I'll add some pics to my profile of some of our finds and our adventures.
Thanks for all the advice so far!

That is great to hear, congrats. Picking up our 22 Cruiser this week and really hoping to dive off of it. Can't wait to see how you have yours set up.

You will probably never get used to or ignore that feeling when one of your guest gets the idea that he is on a cruise ship and walks across the cockpit and leans on the opposite side.
With your relatively large and open cockpit, it is easy for guest to wander.
I have to constantly remind my fishing buddy's that their job when we are on plane is to keep the ship level. Most times they ignore me till I pull back on the throttle.
The other great sensation is when your nose catches a wave at an angle on a following sea. The flat back end does not hold very well.
Our boats are great but they definitely are not designed to be performers at high speed.
For my use, it might not be the best but it is better the rest.

I dive Commercially but not on the C-Dory....I have found it a hard boat to get aboard....so I made up a dive ladder that attaches to one of those Scottie Fish Pole holders..wraps over the top and becomes a 5 step dive ladder... That way you can use one of the handles at the back of the cabin to steady yourself...
You can see pictures in my photo album.. I had the bracket made at a boatyard stainless shop and the ladder is from West Marine.

Thanks for the ladder idea Joel!

I did a beginner's freedive course two years ago and hope to make good use of my C-Dory if I can find some dive partners in Victoria. No room for tanks with all the fishing gear I carry!

A diver friend recommended this ladder to me, and I’m really happy with it.
It fit right onto my stock swim step.
The large handrails make a huge difference, allows better use of upper body strength.
We boarded very easily with steel tanks and plenty of weights.

That ladder looks nice, but do you need to take your fins off before climbing it? Most of the ones I've used have open sides.

Yes, it’s a fins off style ladder.
I’ve used both types with no real preference, at least for our local conditions.
We just tossed fins in the transom well and climbed right up.
