WANTED - Radar Arch for C-Dory 25.

I know this is a long shot but I have seen folks buy an arch and never mount it. I will be in the Seattle area this spring.

Thanks,
Kevin

Saw an affordable one on craigslist san Diego or san fransico that looked like a fit. Fishonsports does one that looks like it fits for about $450 if I remember correctly.

Kevin,
I made a Bob Austin Special Radar Commode Mount with his guidance; with 2 4" PVC pipe toilet floor flanges, a Starboard base drilled to accept Garmin HDx24 bolts, and a bunch of 3/4" stainless bolts. After prep and painting with Krylon Fusion Gloss White spray, from 5 feet away you can't tell it's not powdercoat. AND I made it to the custom 11.25" hgt I needed to get the base just above the Coleman AC unit, but under the 13.5" federal hgt on the trailer limit.
Of course, tease out an extra 1/2" of roof core foam, make an epoxy plug (I used MarineTex) and torque the flange bolts down on that epoxy plug, not the roof core 'sandwich' as always applies (I've learned a lot here from Bob). Total cost $22.00 before 10% military discount.
Pics in the album. Has anyone else made a Bob Austin Special Commode Radar Mount?
If you truly need an arch, then I think you should be the first to make one with a PVC framework like they make furniture with. Maybe spray it Stainless Steel silver. See how it comes out.
WORST CASE scenario, you waste under $32.00 at Lowes, remove it all, fill in the holes, and move on in life.
I think it would be less of a challenge for you than your custom camperback project, and way cheaper!
Best Wishes,
John

They even make PVC mounting flanges for the 1 1/2" and 2" PVC pipe...But for the full arch, down here in Lower Alabama, I would suggest Woodland Cameo spray paint. For Montana--maybe Fuchsia. I can do the engineering if you want Kevin--but it won't be a real commode mount! The original "Commode mount" (on a friend's trawler" is still going strong at 20 years!

Montana: I looked for a used radar arch for my 25 too. IMO it's next to impossible. It's also very hard to find a "generic" one that will fit. You'll need to have one fabricated.

YUou may have already tried this one, but.... try contacting NMI (the C-Dory mfg) and see if you can get one through them and pick it up when you are "in the Seattle area". They may direct you to their supplier, or .....

Like you said, it may be a ----- l --- o --- n --- g ----- shot.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I am actually interested in the SS tubing full width arch to mount the dome, antennas and golight.

Below are the two arch makers I have exchanged emails with who can make a full width SS arch to order and have the blueprint for C-Dorys. Not sure if there are others.

We used Bolton - www.boltonstainless.com - when we need an arch for our CD 25. They did a great job, perfect fit, on time and for way less then anyone else would quote at the time.
Cheers!
Eric

I also used Bolten when I bought mine for Sensei. they are in Canada and they drive past my exit on their way to Seattle so I met them at the exit when they came thru, they used to make the rails for C-Dory many moons ago.
