Thanks to everyone for coming on our 16th Annual Delta and Bay Extravaganza. We are happy that everyone made the trip safely. Kath and I had another good time (rain, and all) and we still look forward to our 17th event next year, health willing.

We had a fantastic group this year and we enjoyed everyone's company. John and Robbin did another great job hosting two over the top formal Wheeler Island Duck Club dinners.

John & Laurie provided us access to their Vallejo Yacht Club and treated us to a nice breakfast.

Joel provided another wonderful offering by inviting us all over to his friends, Tom and Chris, in Petaluma, for an outstanding dinner and evening.

Most of us never made it to San Francisco but we sure ate well! Also we had a new venue at Vallejo which was nice.

We stayed an extra night at the Duck Club this year because of rain and wind concerns. The weather was quite uncertain this year, but we managed to work our way to the various venues through pockets in the weather.

Steve, Carmen, and Alex, and David thanks for your longstanding loyalty to this event. Roger, we enjoyed using your fish bottle opener. Pedro thanks for remembering the wooden homemade wine stopper. Steve & Karen, thanks for your effort to come in the heart of tax season!

We are appreciative to all that put in the work to join us on this adventure. This is an event where everyone truly makes a contribution. We hope to see many of you next year at the same event!

Jim & Kath

We came down to Rio Vista hoping to get a closer look at C Dorys and we certainly did. Thank you to all for sharing your boats and experience with a couple of wanna- be owners. William Lyons, Jim Stuart

Hello All,
Again the Bay and Delta Extravaganza was an awesome and needed break from our workaday world. This year there were a few changes due to weather and berthing venues - and all turned out more than fine. A huge thanks to Jim and Kath for organizing this long standing event that I think truly embodies the CBrat culture of well... just being nice. I always find it reassuring that a group of people, from all walks of life and personalities can truly have a great time just hang'in out. Over the years, Laurie and I have developed some great friendships that are sure to endure. John and Robbin you guys really do such a great job of hosting at your place in the Delta.. the food is always simply outstanding! Wheeler Island X 2 was Great! Joel thanks so much for organizing and allowing us to mingle in grand style... but is there really a college buddy ? he's never actually been seen Smile ! We really enjoyed chatting with Steve and Karen. Carmen, Steve, Jazmin and Alex so glad you could experience a bit more here in the Bay with us. Roger you and I, well we just have to hang a pork chop around our necks just to get the dogs to play with us... our fate as inspectors. David we always enjoy your company, good cheer and wit. Pedro and Eileen you two are always a source of surprises and simply good company... may be good to know "people" in Panama!
Sidebars: I will never forget walking into the Dollar Store in Petaluma with Laurie, Steve, Alex being absolutley drenched, looking like half drowned homeless persons, the sound of water dripping from rain gear, the up and down look from the register clerks, like... where the h.ll did these people come from? We did learn cash works just as well when soaking wet! Oh and then there is Walter. Rolling Eyes

Bringing this back to the top. It is time for me to start planning my work time for this tax season.

There was talk that 2018 might be the last time that Jim and Kath would be planning this trip. What do you think Jim? On to other adventures?

Steve
