Mike, I've had mostly reliable calm at the Matia dock over the years, but one time two years ago another boat and I spent a miserably windy night there. Two foot waves flowed through the narrow northwest channel, pushed by the Strait of Georgia. Just something to be aware of. South side of the dock is preferable--as you likely know. Make sure to walk the one mile trail!

We are on Pickwick Lake in Mississippi right now, and will be somewhere on the Tenn-Tom Waterway while you guys are doing the Stuart CBGT! We are about 1,000 miles from crossing out wake on a total 5,250 mile Great Loop adventure! Please toast to our safe return to Florida! We'll be thinking of you all on Stuart Island, and really cannot wait to get home and return to our C-Brat friends!

This toast's for you, Pat and Patti, and thanks for the loop update. That's an amazing number of miles! Like about like Hawaii and back.
I look forward to your return, and a treasure full of stories. Meanwhile, Fred has very likely created a new, annual September rendezvous.

Wow P & P, 5250 miles! That’s about what the TyBoo had after 10 years. Amazing!

Brock - we left Matia in the light rain and calm water late this morning and stopped by Jones for a visit. I think we will brave the raccoons and stay there tomorrow night. Right now we are plugged in at Deer Harbor. Oh, and we walked the trail.

Mike, I have never had a coon problem at Jones, but then I don't fish or have any food outside. Now at Blake Island State Marine Park, they come in droves.

P&P, now you are at almost exactly the same number of miles as I have put on my motorcycle sice I bought it, and I'm just up to 9000 now. (I am in the process of fixing that currently).

We are at Friday Harbor now. SeaSpray Steve is here with his group on the huge fancy chartered sailboat. He walked over and visited for a bit. Super gentleman.

They gave me a tour of the 42’ sailboat. Pretty nice!

Finally after owning our C-dory for 10 years this Stuart Island weekend will be the first C-Brat gathering for my wife Christina and I.
Surely looking forward to making new friends and sharing this weekend with you.
We will launch our 22 Angler from Bellingham on Friday morning.
See you all there.

Robbin and I will be leaving for Stuart from Anacortes tomorrow mid morning. We will try to get on the dock at Prevost and set up camp at site #4.
A few things to note:
1. We will bring paper plates and bowls but not any plastic cups or utensils. I hope everyone has those.
2. We plan to have coffee and Danish on Saturday morning and the potluck Saturday late afternoon.
3. We are bringing firewood and hope others can also. If we have enough we should be able to have a fire both nights.
4. The weather says occasional showers so we will bring a tarp for some protection.
5. Saturday hike to Turn light house may be fun for those up for it.

I will be on the docks Friday to help anyone coming. With roaming issues with our carrier I will monitor channel 68.

See you all this weekend.

Fred and Robbin

Kathy and I should be arriving at Cap Sante about then. Got lots of loading to do; so we'll probably not get out of port until early afternoon.

the potluck Saturday late afternoon.

We will bring a tomato/mozzarella/basel appetizer plate

I'm bringing plenty of split dry wood......enough for for one night's fire anyhow (plus an axe and some fire starters)

yet it looks like bellingham or cornet bay. blaine and washington park are no goes for monday with a sw to 20. tide is good for a late monday pull out at all fof the ramps. If you are headed out early monday you might want to sleep in a little and pull out after 12 noon when the tide is not 1 ft.

cornet bay on friday looks crappy with 1 to 3ft in the strait from the south, but as long as you hit cattle pass before 3pm that part should be ok. I would run up to Lopaz pass from cornet and have a good inside run the rest of the way.

Robbin here... we're on the dock at Prevost and have the tarp set up.

Several big boats on the dock but Ried was virtually empty last night. Raining this morning so hoping the neighbors here will head out this morning.

Sky is clearing as I speak!
