Howdy C-brats,
We are looking to find a secure place to store the trailer for our 16' angler in the Sidney area for the week of August 6-12.
I plan on launching at the Tulista public ramp while my family continues on with the vehicle to Salt Spring Island and I will meet them there in the boat.
This web page (http://www.sidney.ca/About_Sidney/Tulista_Boat_Launch_Information.htm) is very informative, but apparently trailer- only storage is not allowed in their lot(s).
Any alternate ideas would be welcome and greatly appreciated. _________________ Troy and Lisa

Have you tried calling any of the marinas, other than the Port of Sidney, which doesn't have a launch ramp, to see if they have any space? You may have to leave a message for a call back, as it is a busy place.
PS, Good fish and chips just up Beacln Ave at 5th, turn right to Fish on Fifth

If you are retired military you might try calling the bases in the area....usually they are very accommodating..

Van Isle Marina is happy to allow us to use their private ramp and store our trailer for a flat rate of $200 = GST (usually 20’ minimum at $1.75/ft).
I'm searching for a more affordable option. The Sidney public Lot A (corner of Bevan Avenue and Second Street) is $6 per day. However, no trailers without attached vehicles allowed according to Robbins, the lot's management company.
I contacted a outdoor storage facility near the airport via email, but nothing back. http://cubeairlandandsea.com
So far that's all I have. |

Turns out it will be possible to park our trailer in Sidney Lot A. I just received an email saying its OK after all, I think in part because I mentioned that I have a receiver lock and a wheel lock.
Thanks again to the Cbrats for their generosity! |
