As I've posted previously, I've had an ongoing issue with rain water intrusion into cabin. Quite a lot. Anyway, I proceeded to 4200 every thru hull screw, bolt, etc in cabin as well as a loose fresh water vent. Also cleaned out all the window drains. It rained yesterday and so far not a drop in cabin. Keeping fingers crossed.

I've been hogging out the core under a few fasteners at a time and epoxying the void.
This protects the core and gives me a chance to apply new bedding. I'll probably do the cabin top hand rails this year.
When the fuel tanks were pulled a few years ago I found rot under the screw holes for the cleats that position the tanks. I drilled some exploratory holes and found wet core alongside the tanks next to the hull sides.
More holes were drilled till dry core was found then the wet core was pulled and snagged out.
Next an aquarium pump was used to move air through the affected area for a month during the summer before sealing things up with epoxy.
Apologies for the novel, just trying to give you some ideas.

Jeez Chester you giving me nightmares here. Think I'll just dip her in a big vat of 5200.

Moisture intrusion is an issue with all cored boats. Checking and re bedding is just part of the normal maintenance. The small amount of intrusion in the cockpit is all I have found.
Oh, and 5200? Just say no. Seriously.
