I am in Powell River. Now I'm just waiting for everyone else to join me. Yes, I'm a little early but my 10 month old grandson (and his parents) live here. _________________ Gypsy

Its looks like the marina is going to be very busy this weekend. We also have a new harbour master who is not familiar with fitting boats in. She promises she will find room for everyone but can't guarantee we'll all be in one spot. Some may need to raft up. So I encourage people to call ahead 604-485-5244 early on the day you will be arriving and let her know you are on your way. If at all possible try and be fairly early in the day. A couple of boats have already arrived so they (and us) will be looking for arriving boats.
Weather reports are still looking very good for today through Sunday.
Looking forward to a great time.
Cheers
Ron |

Hi Ron,
We landed in Powell River today. Rafted up right by the south entrance. Not sure yet if we're staying until the weekend. If you get down to the dock, we'd like to say hi.

Lyle,
Glad you made it. We certainly look forward visiting with you. We have a function on this evening so I don't know if we'll make it down tonight. If not we'll drop by in the morning.
Tom looking forward to seeing you again. Weather shouldn't be much of a problem for travelling tomorrow.
Cheers

Looks lighter for tomorrow. See you all there. |

Thanks, Ron, looking forward to it!
Lyle and Shelly, I'm delighted you were able to cruise in and visit and see old friends.
Serenitymay1995, I'm leaving from near Anacortes. No trailering involved. I figure Bedwell, Nanaimo, then Lasqueti and Texada on my right. I remember how snotty Malaspina Strait can be, and maybe I'll motor up Sabine Channel if conditions and mood dictate. |

Kerri On has arrived. Crossed from Texada at dawn. West 15-20 and rougher than a stucco bathtub! Different than predicted but already at 0700 it is calming
Looking forward to everyone getting in ok and having a good visit. George |

We came across Georgia Strait from Nanaimo yesterday. It said it was going to be 5-15 early, with winds rising in the afternoon. We left at 6:00 am really got pounded for a couple of hours (we're slow). The wind wasn't that bad, not sure why it was so rough. I don't ever seem to be able to out guess Georgia.
Malaspina was whitecaps but not not too bad. |

Ann and Ron, Thank you for another super supper. You are the best. It was great, and great to get to see good friends again. What a wonderful time.
Fun to get to visit on the dock and get to see so many boats here. 8 came in today, 5 were here yesterday already, and there were 3 local boats represented. 8 are from the USA and 8 were from the host country, Canada.
An early visitor, Bessie, Lyle from the C-Dory Bess C, wanted to stay by, but had a weather window to go through, wanted me to pass greatings on, so.... "Greatings everyone."
Harvey
