I have a honda 8 hp made in 2000 I just checked it and have water in the oil anyone have any ideas where it could be coming from . I have alwise flushed it after each use in the salt ,it runs fine no smoke or water vapor coming out the exaust . Anyone have any ideas have looked on line and not found a lot.

It's pretty common, caused by the engines running too cold and getting condensation buildup from combustion. The cure is a thermostat that opens at a higher temp. Mine did the same thing, it too is around the same vintage.

Thanks will try and see if it gets more water in it changed the oil but have not changed the thermostat for a while .
