I had an '07 for almost three years and sold it and just got a 2017 that I ordered from Carrie at Mobile East Marine. She was great to deal with... wonderful experience.

The boat is in my driveway for the next couple of weeks before I take her down to Destin, FL where she will stay in a high and dry marina.

I'll start with the storage under the v-berth. My '07 didn't have any and in the 2017 it is MASSIVE. The entire space under the v-berth is storage.

I thought there would be 3 little compartment places under there and was surprised big time when I saw how much storage space there is... it's MASSIVE!!!

More updates to come over the next couple of days as I'm commissioning her.

Looks nice! Please keep posting pics! I'd love to see what other differences you find. I like the flooring. Is that stock or did you add it?

I think you'll enjoy the 200 Yamy. I have a 200 Suzuki and love it. The 135's seem really underpowered for that boat. Was there a reason why you chose a single over twins? Just curious.

On my '07 it had a shelf in the cabinet below the sink. I'm getting my next-door neighbor to build one for me out of teak... he builds furniture for a hobby.

The '17 has the macerator pump and sump pump switch in the head.

Mobile East Marine had a guy come out and install it before I picked her up. PlasDeck. I love the look and will let you know how it holds up.

I had a 150 Suzuki on my '07 and it performed perfectly but think I'll enjoy the 200 Yamaha. I've always liked more horsepower!! Smile

I thought about twins but decided on the one 200.

Just from the pics, I can tell the workmanship/quality is very, very nice.

WOW, is that cool. Somebody at NMI is doing some thinking. NOw all they need to do is tell a few folks ---> (that would be spelled a - d - v - e - r - t - i - s - e.) Yup, quality will get noticed, advertising will get that word out and "the people will come".

It does look really nice, quality workmanship (by the photos) and good planning.

I see that they opened up the port side bulkhead and shifted the opening to starboard. I like it a lot. It looks like it will be way easier to enter and exit.

Is that now standard or did you have it made that way? Either way, it's a great idea

Carrie from Mobile East Marine made me do it ($200 extra) and I am so glad she did. I like it much better! It opens up the boat!

Ken,
I liked the way A&J Canvas did your bimini so I am having them do the same for my 25'. Carrie was very pleased with how well your boat turned out.
Mobile East is a great dealer and a pleasure to deal with.

Next that is different is the little spice (for lack of a better term) shelf behind the cooking area.

I'm pretty sure the storage compartment under the helm man's feet is higher.

I never built one for my 2007 but always thought about putting in a foot stool where on the 2017 I don't think I need one.

And they moved the fridge to the port side and added drawers under the helm seat. The drawers and cabinets are teak now... I kinda liked the white with the teak trim but I'm getting used to the all teak.

The breaker panel on 2017 is easier to reach and the settee table is MUCH easier to drop down and turn into a berth. You twist the knob and it drops. I may not hold up as long but time will tell.
