Hi all,
I have searched the forum and found direct replacements for the wiper refill on the 22, but unfortunately these posts are out of date and NAPA no longer sells 60-1233. I'm considering cutting the metal slide that the rubber wiper blade slides onto and sliding a new rubber blade on.
Does anybody know of a current direct placement for the 22 blade refills? |

The closest I can find is an ANCO 20-12, but can't find anywhere that sells the refills. |

I did a bit of homework on this several years ago and was able to buy the NAPA 60-1233 "vintage wipers" and well as a set of spares. I have the new spares beside me as reference and the Anco 20-12 Windshield Wiper Blade appears to be identical. Amazon has the Anco's available on their site as well as several showing up on eBay. _________________ Steve Baum

Thanks for the reply,
Yes I saw those. The ones I found included the whole blade attachment and not just the refill and average about $18 for one. The wiper arm on my 2003 22 Dory won't attach directly to the blade without modification. I was simply looking for the rubber blade attached to the metal slide. For lack of better terms the "quick connect" seen in this picture on the linke below is permanently attached via a pin. I was hoping to not have to drill and get further involved in the project.

I found wipers for the rear window of a Jeep on line. But I didn't go that way.
Instead I did much the same thing as Jay. I had to spread one end of the existing 22 wiper frame open a bit to get the old rubber insert out. Then I bought an 15" replacement, removed the insert and cut to size, inserted in the 22 wiper frame, and crimped the end a little. If you purchased the 24" you have enough to replace both sides for only about $8. |

I ended up buying the refills in the link breausaw replied with above. I snipped the end of the blade holder and removed old rubber wiper and installed new refills. When reinstalled the holder for the wiper blade is held in place by the wiper arm assembly. $1.57 for new refills. I'm happy. Of course you need to wait around 3 weeks for shipping. |

Go on line and look up 11.5 wiper blades and you'll find the
Manufactures blades at a bareable price. Just went thru the
process. |

If you you just need to get them working again for a while take them and make a little tray out of aluminum foil and soak them in alcohol over night this will soffen the rubber up again and they will work for a while more. It does the same thing as what you put in a leaking auto trans to make it quit leaking fluid .
