"Pirate Deb" here folks. Just joinin cuz since bein in "Anchortown" for the last 2-months; peekin over Pirate RedFox's shoulder... y'all are just too insane to resist. Probably normal, since earth's the insane assylum of the universe
I live in Dowagiac, spend a lot of time out at Tiscornia Pier, in "St Joe, MI" walkin the dawg "Jade". Was wondering if there are any C-Dorys in that area?

Nice comic strip Red. I never complained about the horizontal ones but appreciate the change in format. Easier to deal with but as always still entertaining.

Here's my favorite lately- "Beauty, is in the eye of the beer-holder" pretty good huh ahh who knows... were sure all the silly-stuff has been around in another place and time---at least we heard it first from our own nogin' I see old B~C is still crankin-em-out... now and again
This cold is weakening... soon we won't have as much time to spend on the web... |

Mr Red Fox and crew
You should tell the locals there is going to be a celebrity visit! We, the local contingent, would have take time off for an event of this magnatude I was cleaning the yard in preperation for snow and working on a generator distribution panel both things easily postponed. I would have very much enjoyed viewing such a famous yacht.
Where were you out there that was "closed"?
I was also looking at snowmachines catalogs and web sites . I guess you would suggest the same brand as you tout for outboards? I want one that does everything well and can't seem to find one. Can you get a better buy at the show this weekend or at the store when you can work them harder.

I sorted through the member's list and found 12 in MI and one in Muncie, In. Of the ones in MI, only 1 in Cadillac, is less than 3 hours away. Maybe someday I will get back up that way as I have a cousin there. I live 1/2 hour North of University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN ( Gotta root for the home team: GO M BLUE) & 1/2 hour drive from Lake MI at Benton Harbor/ St. Joeseph area where the and I spend as much time as possible at the Lighthouse Pier (Tiscornia). Am considering relocating up here to Alaska if circumstances allow. it up here. Will be going back to MI Oct. 3 and will see if I can stand it there after here.
Right now Captian Red Fox is gettin' over a monster hangover the size of a Sea Serpent! Says he will be back as soon as he figures out just where he went. _________________ Pirate Deb ;-D |

Deb, I will "winterize" my boat after October 22. Will likely be out a couple more times before then, including a Straits area tour in mid October. Until I read that go blue crap I would have invited you aboard. I suppose I still could if you wear a proper Spartan sweatshirt. Green Power.

Doesn't matter to me which MI team, as I don't know an awful lot about it, just so long as it's ours. That's just the first one that popped into mind as it's the most popular where I live. (Big rivalry with the fighting irish an all.) The world seems ta revolve around the 2 teams at home. I do believe I have a Spartan shirt at home. Sometimes I don't think ya can live in MI and not have em all. Gotta git now......... |

Thankya my friend, ya make me proud since were not going to able to escape "Los Anchorage" till spring/summer now there's a good chance of possibly getting back to Resurection Bay ( ) again.. that place is unbelievably awesome for its scenery and RedFox (the boat) and I miss the open ocean, now and again
Yes!! "snowmachines" ya say Like our boats and outboards there is no bad choice! yud be happy with any brand. Todays sleds are truly miraculous but of course bein a 4-stroke fan, I opt for YAMAHA, they are the undisputed leader in four-stroke technology and have THE most reliable, quiet, fuel-efficient machine out there... not to mention what Yamaha is known for---their rock-solid quality, is still without equal Ridding a new Yami' 4-stroke is like ridding a fine street bike, and they just made "snowmobile of the year" again in "Snowgoer" magazine (this months issue)
Model: I'd recommend the Apex (they come in a few models) the one for "all purpous" ridding" it's got the right length track for it; 136' the short-track: 121' (way too short) and the mountain-sled: 162' is just way-too-long a track for all-round stuff. If I get a new one this season... it would be that one!! (136' track)
Wish I could be more informative on exact model #s.... but I'm sure a dealer will recommend the 136-inch track Apex, if ya tellem your wanting a good do-it-all sled
Keep in touch!.. maybe I'll start a sled-head-thread on my site about this I better get-ottah-these-peeps hair now... gonna drive-em all nuts with this stuff ....
~~~oh: the area "closed" was over near the industail area... that small beach-front place (I think its "private")
We ended-up in the "Public Camping"... it was OK |
Deb,
There are a few boats in Indiana. Although I only know of the few that are closer to Indianapolis. Several of us would like to put together a rendevous close to you. We'll try to keep you posted. By the way, my wife and I own the newest "C-Dory dealership" still not listed on C-Dory's website. Check us out at www.rabidfish.com. We are in the S. Bend/Niles area a couple of times a month. _________________ The best things in life come on a stick! |
